A Good Scrubbing: OZ Naturals Ancient Orient Bamboo Dermafoliant Review
So, you guys may remember, a few weeks ago my skin started acting up. Sometimes I start having issues when the temperature or season changes and it can also be brought on by flying from one climate (sunny and humid Hawaii) to another (dry and hot Arizona). After our last trip, I had enlarged pores across my upper cheeks, a patchy oil slick for a forehead and my poor nose was flaking and angry from all the extra tissue action during my last cold.
I did an Aztec Indian Healing Clay mask and spot treatments, and, while it helped a TON, I still needed some help getting my skin’s texture back on track. I’m an oily girl, so for me, exfoliating is ESSENTIAL, but I didn’t a product on deck. Enter OZ Naturals Ancient Orient Bamboo Dermafoliant.
It’s a mouthful, but worth every single syllable.
This stuff is 98% natural, vegan, and super effective. Its key ingredients are lactic acid, vitamin B5, and green tea extract. I’ve been using it twice a week for the past two weeks and it’s made a huge difference in the texture and oiliness of my skin. It is very powerful and a little goes a long way. As with any exfoliant, following up with a toner and moisturizer (I spritz on a little witch hazel and lavender EO then follow with pure aloe vera gel) is important.
To recap, the Dermafoliant 1) shrunk my giant pores, 2) reduced my oil production, and 3) didn’t scrub all the skin off my face. I also love that it’s a powder because it’s super easy to travel with!
Moving forward I’m going to continue using it 1x a week to keep my skin on track and it’s definitely coming with me anytime I have to step on a plane.
