It’s Like Milk but Made for Humans

Vegan oat-based milk alternative, Oatly, far exceeded sales goals thanks in part to a clever marketing campaign and has now inked a deal to increase its production 8-fold with the opening of a new bottling plant in Millville, New Jersey.

Their success has attracted would-be competition, with Quaker Oats announcing the launch of their own oat milk scheduled for January 2019.

Target Expands Vegan Offerings with Addition of Hodo Foods

Learning how to effectively marinate tofu is a new vegan rite of passage. California-based Hodo Foods is making everyone’s lives a little easier by launching their ready-to-eat Morrocan tofu cubes in 1,450 Target locations nationwide.

Luna Lovegood is Bringing Vegan Beauty to Your Doorstep

Actress Evanna Lynch, recently seen on DWTS and best known for her portrayal of Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series, has joined forces with fellow vegan actress and influencer, Daniella Monet to launch curated, monthly vegan beauty box, Kinder Beauty.

LaBante London: Making Green by Making the World Greener

London based vegan-certified brand LaBante London produces luxury handbags and sunglasses for the environmentally conscious consumer. In addition to filling a need for higher-end vegan accessories in the marketplace, founder and CEO Vanita Bagri also believes in giving back. 10 percent of all sales for the brand go to charities that support vegan-centric causes.

Beyond Meat has Goals

After spending years perfecting their product, El Segundo based meat substitute brand, Beyond Meat, filed for a U.S. initial public offering with the initial value set at $100 million. Current backers include Bill Gates and former McDonald’s CEO Don Thompson.

Label Lawsuit: Vegan Brand Miyoko’s Creamery Heads to Court

Despite several surveys coming to the opposite conclusion, one woman in Brooklyn claims the packaging for Miyoko’s Creamery Vegan Butter is ‘misleading’ and caused her to pay the ‘premium’ price of $6.99 while believing the product contained actual dairy.
